Activated carbon consists primarily of carbon in the form of graphite monocrystals. These are processed in such a way that their structure becomes porous and has a large internal surface area. Thanks to these properties, activated carbon has a high absorption capacity and can bind molecules of various substances on its inner surface.
Zeolite
Zeolite is a mineral with high microporosity. It is primarily used for its ability to absorb organic compounds and water vapor. This is due to the special properties of its regular and microporous crystal structure, which has an extraordinarily large number of cavities in the crystals.
