The berbel LED lighting is characterized by very low energy consumption, high efficiency and longevity. Perfect hob illumination is achieved by optimally positioning the lighting in the hood body. The special berbel EcoSwitch technology allows you to flexibly choose between recirculation and exhaust air operation of a berbel extractor hood at any time: Im In exhaust mode, the air is led outside through the automatically opening wall box. In recirculation mode, the wall box remains closed and the air is cleaned by recirculation. This is made possible by an intelligent overall system consisting of a berbel hood with an activated carbon filter as a hybrid version and an active berbel wall box. This means you can flexibly switch to the appropriate mode depending on the cooking or weather situation by touching the sensor touch control panel.

With the berbel recirculation technology, the air is optimally processed according to the berbel principle, returned to the room free of grease and almost odorless. Since there are no exits to the outside, the room heat is retained 100%. berbel recirculation technology is ideal for houses according to the latest energy standards (EnEV), apartment buildings, old buildings, for complicated exhaust air ducts or for safety in fireplaces with open fireplaces.
Exhaust air plays a relevant role in all extractor hoods. The cooking fumes are led out of the house through generously sized pipes (at least 125 mm or 150 mm diameter - standard today). The connection of the pipe to the outside should be completed with a motorized wall box that closes the hole in the outer wall of the building. This results in an effective and energy-saving exhaust system. The berbel wall box is only open when the hood is in operation and is thermally insulated when closed. This minimizes heat loss and protects you from drafts. The special berbel exhaust pipes do not have any sharp edges or kinks or curves that slow down performance. In combination, you benefit from a flow-optimized overall system for particularly quiet and efficient air purification. The berbel exhaust air technology is recommended for new buildings, for retrofitting in all houses or for increasing the efficiency of existing kitchens. This is often assumed - but there is no legal ban on an exhaust hood in passive or low-energy houses. All you have to do is ensure that there is enough supply air, e.g. via an open window or other supply air solutions, which should be in line with any existing living room ventilation system.

The remaining part of the air sucked in is directed back into the room through the hybrid filter. Cleaning takes place in several cleaning stages. The majority of dirt particles, such as grease and oil particles from the sucked-in room air, are collected in the lower grease tray. While part of the cleaned room air is directed outside, the filter filling in the hybrid filter neutralizes any odors present in the remaining amount of sucked-in air. This odor-free, purified room air is returned to the room.
